Advent. It’s a season of peace… a season of hope… a season of joy… and a season of preparation. In a month that is often full of busyness and stress, Advent is a reminder to pause and prepare our hearts for the season’s greatest truth and blessing—the birth of the Son of God—our Savior, Jesus Christ.
This Christmas at Church on Bayshore we are excited to share with you a devotional to guide you through the advent season. “Ready and Waiting: Life in the Light of His Arrival” is a compilation of writings from members of our church that can help you keep Jesus the focus of your Christmas celebration.
On Christmas Eve we will celebrate the birth of our Savior with a special Candlelight Christmas service. This is sure to be a memorable part of your Christmas Celebration, so make plans to join us as we celebrate Jesus, our Eternal Light. Join us for Christmas Eve on Sunday, December 24 at 11:00 am, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, or 5:00pm. Kids ministry is available during the 11:00am service for children aged Kindergarten and younger.
Sundays in December we will keep our focus on “Ready and Waiting” as we continue our time in Ephesians 6. In this final book of Ephesians, Paul provides us with a picture of what this preparation looks like as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and anticipate his return. Join us Sunday at 8:00 (Traditional Worship), or 9:30 or 11:00 (Contemporary Worship).
